DTA Frequently Asked Questions
DO WE TRAIN AND PLACE SERVICE DOGS?
No, we do not train and place program service dogs for the public. We can, however help you train your own service dog through our day camp program or our community canine classes.

IF I AM ENROLLED IN THE DOG TRAINING ACADEMY CAN I BRING MY SERVICE DOG/SERVICE DOG IN TRAINING?
This is dependent on your dog passing a temperament and behavioral evaluation with our working dog coordinator. If approved, they can attend the dog training academy with you on a case-by-case basis with some exceptions.
I SIGNED UP FOR A BOOKING AND I'M BEING ASKED FOR MY DOG'S VACCINATION RECORDS. WHY?
Our main site in Westminster is registered with PACFA as a pet training and rescue facility. For the safety of the numerous dogs that come into our facility each day we must be provided assurances that all dogs meet vaccination requirements set by PACFA for Bordatella (Kennel Cough), Rabies, and Distemper. Similar policies are found at any dog daycare in Colorado. This helps us in protecting our animals from contagious diseases and preventing the spread of those same diseases. We require updated records every 6-12 months.

DO WE TRAIN THERAPY DOGS?
At this point in time, we do not have a therapy dog certification program up and running. We are hoping to add this service in the future! Stay tuned!

WILL YOU TRAIN MY DOG FOR ME?
We are not a boarding facility. We cannot house dogs overnight. What we can offer is a day train program where your dog stays with us for the day and gets training and then goes home with you at night! Reach out if you are interested in this new program!
